Segment Sales Specialist, Cardiology

Role Summary:The Segment Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales for net new deals in the solution area as well as collaboration across the portfolio and with GEHC businesses to drive growth. This position covers North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.
Essential Responsibilities:1. Drive sales of designated solutions across set geography - measured by pooled OP. Utilizes good understanding of the entire GEHC portfolio
2. Create a holistic territory plan and manage net new sales process from cold call to close to achieve annual operating plan by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, achieve account penetration and complete territory coverage
3. Own cold call strategy, forecasting, funnel development and management, territory development, and close deals within assigned geography. Achieve orders, sales and targets
4. Develop and implement an annual business plan supporting attainment of quota and market share growth, and update on a monthly or quarterly basis
5. Achieve sales quota through being able to demonstrate from our customers perspective, our sol and prod portfolio, understanding customer's workflow requirements and designing, quoting, and presenting the GE solutions
6. Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of IT and GEHC & competitive products
7. Maintain complete knowledge of each account's current and long-term purchase plans and objectives
8. Provide input to Product teams, Sales, Marketing, and Support regarding customer business priorities, feedback and strategies
9. Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with all key-buying influences in each account, including multiple levels within the customer's organization such as the billing office, department administrators, physicians, and the c-suite to include CFO, CIO, CEO and CMO
10. With deep understanding of our solutions, evangelize our digital strategic direction and Precision Health and it's benefits to the GEHC businesses, products and customers
11. Offering deep understanding of digital solutions and the enterprises we serve, partner with the GEHC regional account teams to create demand for and bring solutions to our current and future customers
12. Partner with the GEHC region account teams, build and execute on growth and enterprise strategies, cultivating and delivering new business opportunities and growth
13. Collaborate across GEHC and account communities to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the customer's enterprise including executives, and key stakeholders
14. Gather information from resources internal and external to our customers to create a clear picture of their needs, their place in the market, and of what GE can provide to achieve their objectives
15. Analyze sales pipeline and maintain an array of opportunities to ensure that sales goals are achieved
16. Represent GE (internally and externally) at both a strategic and tactical levels including but not limited to sharing the GE strategy as well as participating in and/or leading customer sales calls
17. Formulate winning proposals based on a cohesive strategy that leverages deep knowledge of industry, customer and GE products
18. Utilize tools with proficiency and rigor to help manage daily sales operations processes. Tools such as SalesForce.com and Aptus
19. Proactively collaborate with broader account community and pursue opportunities where we are selling together
20. Liaison to commercial product organization (inside sales, demo teams, solutions architects) providing domain expertise and visibility across designated product
21. Work closely with product management, product marketing, and field marketing to develop, execute and maintain programs and initiatives designed to drive orders, revenue, and customer experience
22. Actively monitor funnel analytics for national products, while conducting longer term gap analysis to coordinate with field and product teams
23. Develop product knowledge of designated product portfolio, GE Healthcare and competitive products
Qualifications/Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree Or Associates degree and 3 years of software or healthcare experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of software or healthcare experience
2. Minimum 5 years of selling experience in related industries
3. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
4. Must be willing to travel 80%
5. Must be located within territory
6. GE CLP Program graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience
Desired Characteristics:1. Deep understanding of the Healthcare IT landscape
2. 8+ years of software industry experience with proven track record
3. Minimum 5 years' experience in the healthcare business segment and consultative sales/marketing experience including strategic selling and negotiation and demonstrated ability to grow business outside of current install base
4. Ability to operate effectively in a technical and commercial environment
5. Experience calling on the "C" level executives within healthcare providers
