Role Summary:As the Contractor Quality Control System Manager your main task will be managing the project submittal register on the contractor side. To be successful in this task, the CQC system manager needs to link Government contracts with contractor documents, identify the appropriate owner and determine the date to submit the submittal to the client in order to avoid any delays on project delivery.
Essential Responsibilities:The CQC manager has complete authority and responsibility to take any action necessary to ensure contract compliance. The incumbent shall be responsible for certifying that all submittals are in compliance with the contract requirements.
As the Contractor Quality Control System Manager, you will:
+ Ensure the overall project schedule is achieved by following the different submittals to ensure that they are issued on time to the client with the adequate quality
+ Monitor progress of design to ensure construction documents are complete to allow timely start of the construction
+ Read the different articles of the contract related to submittals and certify their conformity to the contractual requirements
+ To perform this work, the CQC System Manager must work with the project team mostly based in the Montreal region (Quebec province Canada), and more closely with the project planner and Engineering System Integrator
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical experience
+ Experience working with Army Corp of Engineers RMS System
+ Experience in all aspects of design/build contract execution
+ Experience in project management. planning or coordination
+ Structured and organized
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
+ Develop and maintain good working relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, and vendors
+ The candidate must be able to travel in USA and Canada
+ Professional Engineer
+ Technical background or with relevant experience will be evaluated
+ The candidate must be fluent in English (writing and speaking). Bilingual French - English is preferred
+ The candidate should be able to work on site (10%)
