About the role:
Gen3 is looking for a Project Manager, IT Security who will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling service provider resources in support of application development changes request initiatives required to successfully meet all requirements, terms, and conditions specified in the task order. The Project Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the processes, project management plans, and applicable artifacts necessary to execute, monitor, and control program activities to ensure that objectives are met.
Location: Washington, DC, Remote. (Work is 95% remote and 5% travel to Washington, DC is required as needed).
What you'll do:
- Leading information assurance team(s) through the development of Risk Management Framework accreditation packages and Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) analysis.
- Communicate with key stakeholders to determine project requirements and objectives.
- Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
- Create project status presentations for delivery to customers or project personnel.
- Develop or update project plans including information such as objectives, technologies, schedules, funding, and staffing.
- Monitor costs incurred by project staff to identify budget issues.
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables.
- Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 8 years of related experience. An additional 10 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience managing projects of up to $10M in total value or above.
- Experience managing projects using Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) analyses.
- Experience managing projects involving security for IT systems and ensuring the security of these IT assets.
- Familiarity with project transition, including developing Knowledge Transfer Plans (KTP).
- Familiarity with FedRAMP compliance requirements.
- Expertise with NIST Standards and Specific Publications.
- Knowledge of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
What's desired to have:
- Previous experience supporting the IRS, Treasury or any other federal or government customer preferred.
- Prefer PMP or other related certifications.
