Delivery Truck Driver/Warehouse Associate

Summary:

The Warehouse Coordinator / Driver is responsible for the inventory of the Warehouse and daily delivery of HVAC freight and materials. The ultimate goal of this role is to supervise the procurement and dispatch process and delivery of products to customers and vendors for one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships that carries multiple brands of equipment, parts and supplies.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Represent GEMAIRE as a leader in the industry.
  • Daily loading and unloading of products in truck utilizing forklift and/or hand truck.
  • Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
  • Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
  • Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.
  • Pick and verify orders for customers and inter-office transfers. Prepare orders for shipment as needed.
  • Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
  • Responsible for daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns.
  • Assist management with inventory counts and provide daily upkeep of the Warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months Warehouse experience and 1 year driving experience including forklift operation. Appliance lift experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 12 months of verifiable experience driving a 16’ minimum box truck, or stake bed truck; 24 months experience and/or CDL Class B license preferred (except when required in certain states)
  • Must possess a clean driving record:
  • No more than one moving violation in any one year period.
  • No more than one preventable accident in any two year period.
  • No restrictions, suspensions or DUI convictions in the past 3 years. * Must be able to pass DOT physical examination requirements.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work within daily deadlines.
  • Knowledge of common carrier (LTL) and full truckload logistics.
  • Must communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
  • Must possess the attitude of wanting to learn and grow with our Company.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
