The GM will be responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all personnel, to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with restaurant standards, company policies, and procedures.General Manager Responsibilities:To follow, enforce, comply, and adhere to all the restaurant's rules, policies, procedures, standards, and recipes at all times.Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management. Supervise and coordinate assigned shifts.Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in the manager's job description.Check staff punctuality.Complete environmental checklist for dining room, spot check liquor pars, and order daily supplies.Hold pre-meal meetings and ensure great... communication with the team.Follow up on established training steps.Handle guest comments and complaints while ensuring guest satisfaction.Stay on the floor during peak hours.Communicate with guests and receive feedback.Observe, teach, and correct the staff's service.Monitor each guest experience.Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.Assist manager in scheduling, forecast weekly/monthly, completing weekly payrollParticipate in interviewing new employees.Prepare maintenance requests and follow-up.Monitor food & liquor requisitions, food waste, and labor/payroll costs.Check bar controls, shot glass use, redlining, bottles empty.Responsible for Hiring, Training, and Employee developmentDelegate management responsibilities to managerial staff and assign tasks to team members, and ensure all required responsibilities and tasks are performed and completed effectively.Requirements of the Restaurant General ManagerProven track record in full-service restaurant operation.Must be passionate about customer service and restaurant operation.Strong profit and loss of operational knowledge.Proven leadership skills.A desire for challenge and a talent for building high-performance teams.STABILITY IN PAST EMPLOYMENT A MUST!Candidates must have proven leadership skills and must be able to train, develop, and motivate staff.Must be proficient with computers.Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.Move, bend, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
