Hotel Business Analyst

Gecko Hospitality is looking for Hotel Business Analyst who is able to hypothesize, investigate and answer data-related questions that will help this dynamic company continue to grow and thrive.

With an ever-changing business environment, being able to find the next business improvement opportunity is essential. Improvement opportunities may be uncovered via insights into data from accounting systems to help managers make better and more educated business decisions, or management of automated workflow processes, or setting up automation of system alerts to make managers aware of material changes to KPI’s. The role aims to provide the necessary information to help managers achieve their goals and support the organization in uncovering improvement opportunities in a highly competitive landscape. The Business Analyst will collaborate with sales, operations, finance and business operations. The Business Analyst will design and implement reporting solutions via existing platforms (Salesforce, Excel) to create informative and easily consumable solutions.

Business Analyst ​Responsibilities:

  • Improve the optimization of complex business processes that can lead to efficiencies
  • Develop and automate processes and systems to improve the quality and productivity of the organization
  • Analyze bulk data to promote the improvement of operations
  • Manage projects from formulation through completion
  • Serve as the technical expert for individual issues
  • Identify system design problems that contribute to human errors and find solutions or alternatives to mitigate errors
  • Develop statistical, graphical, and narrative reports justifying system efficiencies
  • Conduct occasional field studies and data collection efforts to support modeling and analysis
  • Communicate results and recommendations to senior leadership through presentations and reports
  • Coordinate with multiple 3rd party vendors regarding the integration of various systems and reporting tools

Business Analyst ​Requirements:

  • 2 – 5 Years of hotel experience
  • Documented analytical project success
  • Any Project Management and Tracking System
  • Experience with at least 2 of the following:
    • Salesforce.com Reporting
    • Salesforce.com SOQL Language
    • Salesforce.com Einstein Analytics
    • Excel (Power User)
    • SQL Based Databases
