YOUR DAY AS A MACHINING TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT
We are searching for a Machining Tool Crib Attendant to play an important role in the manufacturing process by utilizing your skills to produce high-quality aerospace and electronic products that meet and exceed customer expectations. The basic functions of the Tool Crib Attendant are to issue (presetting) and inspect tools, maintain records of tools and equipment used and returned, and order tooling, so that GMM may produce under the optimum conditions of productivity, efficiency, cost effectiveness and ease of operation. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials and equipment. Allocate and determine specific jobs for each work center and then select and preset the tools needed for the job. Maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned. Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipment. Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment and requisition stock to replenish inventory. Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer. Initiate purchase order for replacement/ repair items. Consistently use GOLD (Geater Operations Linking Database) for accurate work instructions. You have to be efficient in using various tools and making adjustments on the fly.
