Residential House Manager and House Manager (Full-Time and Part-Time)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ENTRY LEVEL RESIDENTIAL HOUSE MANAGER POSITION AND A HOUSE MANAGER (FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME) AT OUR ELLENDALE LOCATION!

Residential House Manager:

This individual must be capable under direct supervision, and have the ability to work in the therapeutic care, treatment and rehabilitation facility. This individual will be responsible for transporting and escorting clients that have medical appointments, and/or other business needs outside of the facility (as approved by staff) and will perform this function in a coordinated and timely manner and communicate any/all concerns to staff accordingly. Potential candidate must be available to work evening, overnight and weekend shifts.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: having an awareness of clients whereabouts and activities during shift, communicate to counseling staff all client related incidents (in person and/or by log), deny access to the facility of unauthorized persons to ensure a drug free environment while maintaining client confidentiality, being willing to listen to clients in a non-judgmental manner, assist in the facilitation of morning meetings, exercise, and other program functions, attend program activities and act as a role model for the clients by demonstrating a positive attitude and behavior and drug free lifestyle. This position does not require, and is restricted from performing group counseling, individual counseling, treatment planning, case management, etc., but does act as a liaison between the clinical staff and the clients.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED plus knowledge of D&A abuse and treatment

· Valid Driver’s License

· Sobriety: If recovering, One (1) year sobriety

House Manager:

This individual must be capable, under direct supervision, and have the ability to work in the therapeutic care, treatment and rehabilitation of persons within the program. This person also conducts therapeutic activities with the clients under the supervision of a Program/Clinical Supervisor, or Program Director. This position does not require, and is restricted from performing group counseling, individual counseling, treatment planning, case management, etc., but does act as a liaison between the clinical staff and the clients. This individual is responsible for providing a positive role model for clients to emulate.

Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures, but employees are expected to exercise significant initiative and independent judgment in discharging duties. Work is reviewed by the Program/Clinical Supervisor or Program Director through an evaluation of the timely and accurate completion of assignments.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: Transport and act as escort for those clients who have medical appointments, or other business outside the facility (as approved by staff). Perform this function in a coordinated and timely manner. Contact staff by phone if there are any problems. Be aware of clients and client activities during shift. Communicate to counseling staff in person and/or by log any client related incidents or conversations that could have a therapeutic impact. Deny unauthorized persons access to the facility and ensure a drug free environment while maintaining client confidentiality. Be willing to listen to clients in a non-judgmental manner, and direct them to staff when appropriate. Do not offer critical advice without consulting counseling staff. Assist in the facilitation of morning meetings, exercise, and other program functions when requested and supervised by counseling staff. Attend all program activities and act as a role model for the clients by demonstrating a positive attitude and behavior and a drug free lifestyle. Tour the facility at regularly scheduled intervals to check building security and insure there are no fire or safety hazards in accordance with program and regulatory policies. Be aware of the facility, including the physical and the agency vehicles; report problems or concerns verbally and in writing to the Director any problems, which may arise. Communicate to nursing staff any medical needs that clients may have. Supervise clients in work therapy activities and report progress to counseling staff. All responsibilities as assigned in the Unit Unique Job Description. All other duties are assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or Program Director. Maintain a valid driver’s license.
