WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE A FULL TIME COOK AT OUR WILMINGTON, DE FACILITY ASAP!
This individual is capable of planning and preparing well-balanced, nutritional meals for an entire facility. This individual is educated in the area of proper nutrition and is able to plan and prepare special diets as necessary. This individual is responsible for maintaining reasonable food costs through the proper use, preparation and storage of food; ensuring a sanitary kitchen at all times; and following policies and procedures. This individual has overall responsibility for the kitchen in a complex program, defined as a program with 40 or more clients and/or a program with JCAH credentials and/or a program of significant complexity such as one involved in the school lunch program and an Assistant Cook. This position will be responsible for complying with all established regulations and meeting all requirements.
Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures, but employees are expected to exercise initiative and independent judgement in discharging duties. Work is reviewed by the Clinical Supervisor or the Program Director through an evaluation of the completion of assignments and through independent and group supervision.
- Associates Degree or equivalent training in a relative field of study plus one (1) year supervisory experience
- Two (2) years’ experience in food preparation
- Sobriety: If recovering, one (1) year sobriety
