Gateway Hospice is looking to hire an On-Call Manager to oversee on call nursing staff in providing nursing care and hospice care to hospice patients and families. This is a full time salaried position working full time hours. Responsible to the Clinical Care Coordinator. Adheres to the regulatory process required by the State Board of Nursing and Federal Conditions of Participation. Position, schedule and responsibilities will vary and include, but not limited to visits, admissions, on-call duties, and quality improvement.
Working in the RN On Call rotation
Orientation of On Call Staff
Scheduling for On-Call coverage
Fielding calls from On Call Staff as needed
Reviewing On Call productivity
Participating in interviewing/hiring of On Call Staff
Reporting required information to QAPI
Coordinating On Call needs with daylight Staff
Conducting Quality Assurance calls to accounts during On Call hours
Development of On Call Process
Working with Staff Development / Compliance
Working with Team Leaders
Registered nurse with minimum two (2) years experience in providing medical, surgical, oncology, or hospice nursing.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
