Construction Laborer

Your job will entail working with a team of talented construction technicians in diverse industrial settings (chemical plants, refineries, power plants, manufacturing facilities). Opportunity for growth is available through the company’s training and development plan.

Position Duties Include:

· Assisting field technicians in industrial maintenance and repairs

· Taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed

· Cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber, metal, or fiberglass according to measurements

· Performing basic maintenance using raw materials or pre-constructed items

· Adhering to strict safety standards

Desired skills/aptitude:

· Mechanical aptitude

· Aptitude with concrete, brick, mechanical, epoxy coatings and/or welding a plus

· Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)

· Basic computer data entry

· Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift or other lifts

· Ability to learn to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches

· Willingness to travel to client locations (mileage reimbursement available for travel outside the local area)

· Good knowledge of English language and basic math

Requirements:

· High School diploma

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

· Ability to pass drug and alcohol pre-employment and random testing

· Ability to pass background check required for a Transportation Workers Identification Card

· Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical demands and abilities:

· Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

· Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs

· Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

· Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and work at heights

· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus

· Good physical condition and endurance
