Reports to: Director, Portfolio Operations


Location: This is a flexible role with remote working arrangements a possibility for the right candidate, available in our Toronto, Ontario office in Canada, as well as our US offices in Chicago, Illinois, and/or Austin, Texas.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned accounts, including more complex and higher risk accounts.
  • Work with the Director, Portfolio Operations on at-risk deal reviews and review execution of mitigation plan with Account Executives.
  • Lead execution of at-risk deal compliance.
  • Liaise with Underwriting during the transition of new accounts to Operations.
  • Conduct on-boarding and training sessions for new clients.
  • Deliver excellent client service within assigned risk mitigation framework.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate client related issues, out of compliance matters, and early warning signs.
  • Execute mitigation strategies as defined and documented and report on execution in Portfolio meetings.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to Account Executives.
  • Ongoing training and mentoring of Account Executives.
  • Perform other related duties, as required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage relationships with at-risk clients
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and industry standard software
  • Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Proven ability to teach, train, and mentor through challenges


Education and Experience

  • College or University Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Account Management and Relationship Management experience within the Factoring industry
  • Certified Account Executive in Factoring (CAEF) designation
