Seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the team! As we continue to grow, Gana-A’Yoo is seeking a highly-skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) based at our headquarters in Anchorage, AK, or remote. The company remains in a period of significant growth and has been rapidly expanding, primarily through contract acquisition and M&A pursuits, over the last three (3) years. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the overall financial affairs of the corporation under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer. The CFO is a part of the senior leadership team and plays a key role in developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate strategy with an emphasis on long-term bottom-line performance, working capital, passive investments, and enhancing shareholder value. Some responsibilities include: Directs and oversees the financial investment portfolio - Recommends investment portfolio objectives, policies, and procedures; Recommends long-range financial goals, investment objectives, and financial strategies; Develops financial models and Pro-forma financial statements to test the feasibility of corporate strategies; Prepares Annual Operating Plan and the Strategic Plan; Reports to the Board of Directors on the corporation’s progress in achieving the strategic objectives; Manages cash flow. Manages business development financials - Performs financial due diligence for potential new ventures. Presents opportunities and performs due diligence on opportunities for passive investments and opportunities. Manages accounting and financial aspects - Responsible for banking and lending relationships and oversees the use of credit lines, term loans, and other debt instruments as necessary for the corporation and subsidiary company operations; Develops and maintains internal accounting controls for the corporation and subsidiary operations; Works with external auditors to plan and oversee the annual audit. Leads and motivates a high-performance management team - Directly oversees the Controller and all other finance and accounting personnel; Provides technical leadership to accounting department personnel; Hires, terminates, develops, promotes, and conducts performance reviews for all staff reporting directly to the CFO; Provide guidance and support to subsidiary and affiliated company operations as necessary. Oversees preparation of financial reports - Oversees preparation of all financial reports, including annual, quarterly, and monthly reports for the corporation, subsidiaries, and affiliates Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, or accounting; Master’s Degree preferred CPA, CMA, or other comparable professional designation preferred Minimum 10 years of related experience with increasing levels of financial management and risk assessment 5+ years of demonstrable experience in a CFO role over more than 3 subsidiaries at once. Experience as a CFO with a company with a min. of $75M+ in annual revenue (Ideally over $150M), and 5+ years of experience in Federal Contracting or GovCon Ability to provide executive leadership with advice on the financial implications of business activities, including, how to strategically enhance financial performance Experience with Service Contract Act, Davis Bacon, Union CBA’s, and job costing preferred Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred Expert experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Online meeting platforms, and web collaboration tools If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you today!
