Reporting to the Technology Director, Galt Foundation’s Business Analyst is responsible for providing data driven solutions. The Business Analyst will provide systems support and liaise between internal operations teams, stakeholders, product owner and vendors, to ensure a seamless experience of technical and process solutions to enable the Galt team to better execute on their business needs. This is an exempt position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide user support services for Galt’s SaaS solutions.
  • Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data; analyze data models to deliver logical conclusions.
  • Prepare reports for company leaders that state trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code issues.
  • Create processes and systems necessary to implement technology changes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding critical business requirements; solicit feedback from stakeholders to form a deep understanding of problems and potential solutions related to business processes and data.
  • Assist in the documentation of business requirement and translate into user stories and technical requirements.
  • Prepare financial analysis reports for stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps and enable them to make important decisions based on various facts and trends.
  • Develop and maintain evolving standards, tools, templates, and documented processes for data management and governance.
  • Provide technical training and expertise on using the technology product optimally.
  • Assist in communicating about deliverables, successes, and status updates.
  • Conduct tests, surveys, and workshops.
  • Write reports and present on system changes and their effects.
  • Assess emerging products to measure their potential value and make recommendations on technologies.
  • Understand, research, and follow technical trends within the industry.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required education and experience:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or similar discipline required or equivalent related experience.
  • At least 3 years of practical delivery experience of business and data analytics highly preferred.

 

  • Required technical qualifications
    • Advanced MS365 computer skills
    • Understanding of software design and configuration principles
    • Ability to present technical concepts and diagrams to various audiences
    • Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation
    • Bullhorn and People2.0 software knowledge an asset

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES:

Ability to manipulate objects, including computers and other routine office machines and supplies.

Operate a computer and perform work on a computer for extended periods of time. 


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office environment. Willingness to work remotely and in-office when required. This role uses standard office equipment. May require on-site client visits and meetings.
