Records Clerk - Clerk of District CourtPrinter-Friendly Version
This position is located in the Clerk of District Court office in the Law and Justice Center. This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties associated with maintaining the filing system and records management within the District Court system. Under general supervision, performs a variety of standardized general clerical duties when filling in for other Clerks in their absence, this position does not perform courtroom duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position must have knowledge of the principles and practices of conducting research, records management, and customer service; modern office machinery, methods, practices and procedures; business English, spelling and grammar; and have the ability to type accurately; write legibly; learn, understand and apply the various and multifaceted laws, rules and regulations governing the district court system; exercise courtesy and tact in receiving the public and in giving and obtaining information; handle sensitive and confidential information; follow written and oral instructions; and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The required knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and one (1) year clerical work experience, or any equivalent of education and experience.
As a condition of hire, the final candidate will be required to successfully pass a criminal history check and background investigation.
