Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for managing all the activities related to the Fulfillment process including preparation, packaging, inventory and distribution of printed materials to GSP clients. This individual will also be responsible for workflow management, staffing, all administrative staff management issues as well as department budgetary tracking and development. Incumbent oversees the entire order fulfillment operation form receipt of materials to shipping to customer. Position manages a large workforce over 3 shifts, with employees who operate varied types of cutting and fabrication machinery. Incumbent balances multiple jobs and special project simultaneously and must be able to reprioritize and shift production as situations demand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and manages cohesive workflow process and process improvements
- Attends daily Production Meetings
- Facilitates activities of Fulfillment Department through floor supervisors to ensure: o Prioritization and expedition of all packing/shipping activities ensuring that correct work is flowing through department in an accurate, efficient and timely fashion and consistent with customer needs (Due dates) o Packing/shipping schedule priorities are communicated and executed within the department
- Ensure accuracy & completeness of reporting tools
- Establish (In conjunction with the Plant Manager) and analyze effectiveness of metrics
- Monitor collection methods, accuracy and reporting frequency for all metrics and data for improvement
- Accurate & timely collection and analysis of data used to measure process improvement and workflow management against established department metrics (Daily, weekly, monthly and annually)
o Data collection & reporting includes but is not limited to: Accuracy & Efficiency data, Equipment utilization, Packaging/Shipping Cost, Packaging/Shipping Methods, Remake quantity & costing, Delinquency data, Schedule Management Data
- Continued development and process improvement including but not limited to: o Prep, packaging & related issues
- Workflow system development: Scoring, slitting & other fabrication; Packaging; Inventory Management & Control
- Responding and resolving customer concerns as it relates to packaging
- Benchmark & track latest shipping processes/systems & technology designed to streamline production and improve quality
- Develop, maintain and manage to the budget requirements of the department o Including labor, materials and overhead as it relates to the department
- Create time bound action plans designed to improve the financial performance of the Fulfillment Department
- Develop and provide regular status updates to the pertinent personnel and senior management
- Ensure the positive and required interaction between Fulfillment & other departments
- Refine, communicate, and manage to the department policies and procedures
- Develop and implement programs to ensure OSHA safety regulations and compliance
- Hire, maintain, and refine the Fulfillment staff based on workload requirements and customer needs
- Establish and monitor all training (New and existing) activities for department
- Administer performance evaluations
Education and Experience:
- 4 year degree in business or related field
- Minimum 5+ years' experience within a high-volume pick/pack, shipping environment
- Minimum 3+ year's supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of PC's and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work weekends
- Forklift certification a plus

Physical demands:
- Candidate must be able to commute within their metro area and travel in the United States as needed
- Travel required is less than 20% of the time
