JOB SUMMARYJOB SUMMARY
The Cost Budget Analyst I will work onsite at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) facility at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, supporting the Installation Support for Energy (DS-FE) environmental branch. This position entails analyzing contract, MIPR, and invoice data from multiple systems to assist DS-FE with their data cleansing efforts. This position involves research, problem-solving and some data analysis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze weekly lists of negative payables, blocked invoices, and unliquidated obligations.
• Develop and execute strategy to resolve items identified on lists.
• Gather and analyze financial data from multiple systems.
• Perform contract and MIPR reconciliations.• Communicate with appropriate POCs to fix financial data issues.
• Compile summary reports to track progress against assigned tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
• Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset
• Must be able to pass security background check to obtain government clearance for Common Access Card (CAC)
• Previous SF86 background check is an asset
