Strategist Job Description:

  • Thinking big, build an understanding of the wider macro cultural, consumer and media context around projects & clients
  • Support the team to measure the achievement of their work
  • Contribute to producing and developing integrated strategies
  • Interrogate the brief, analyze, deconstruct identify the problem, reframe
  • Challenge the creative, helping them and giving them the best possible tools to reach their potential
  • Be a strategic partner to the client, be comfortable advising and presenting directly
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of client’s marketing and business strategy
  • Act as a brand and business guardian for clients and internal teams
  • Use analytics to improve strategies and build consumer insight
  • Experience with consumer decision journey mapping exercises to better inform marketing efforts.
  • Experience developing influencer marketing plans and digital strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that strategy, creative and content deliver impactful campaigns
  • Support the new business and account teams in pitches and presentations for strategy, social and creative mandates.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in media and marketing and serve as an internal center of excellence, sharing knowledge and ideas with the broader team

Position Requirement:

  • 4-5 years of strategy experience agency side
  • Superb writing and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Solid presentation skills; ability to assemble and present KeyNote, PowerPoint decks and to present them with confidence
  • Self-motivated; comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with specialists across multiple teams and offices.
  • Experience using industry research tools & resources
  • Guides and coordinate research projects
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business results through insights and strategy.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and projects with competing deadlines concurrently.
  • Knowledge of emerging cannabis industry an asset
