Our client is an industry leader in the development, manufacturing and distribution of innovative foodservice packaging solutions and are currently hiring qualified Electricians and Maintenance Mechanics.

Job Titles: Electricians and/or Maintenance Mechanics

Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm and also must remain flexible for all shifts including night shift

Wage: $26.41 per hour

Maintenance Mechanic Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair of mechanical problems on production machinery as well as the fabrication of parts. The individual will also be required to perform preventative maintenance and conversions as required.

Requisite qualifications include:

  • Qualification as a trade person with possession of valid Ontario Industrial Millwright license is a must
  • Demonstrated ability to independently apply a high level of technical skill to improve the performance of the plant's equipment
  • A high level of demonstrated and applied knowledge on the operation of the equipment and the manner in which it relates to cup quality
  • Demonstrated ability and qualifications to accurately and efficiently diagnose a problem and to take appropriate corrective measures to the point of installing design modifications to the equipment, and to design or manufacture new parts
  • Demonstrated understanding of procedures for machine parts identification and procurement from store with proper documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to convert machines within a period of time as deemed reasonable by the Company
  • Demonstrated technical versatility on all equipment within the respective area(s) of responsibility
  • Ability to work in compliance with the guidelines of the Good Manufacturing Principles
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blue prints
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting, climbing and working under extreme temperature conditions
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Very good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent safety, work, and attendance record
  • Ability to successfully perform and pass a technical test to measure mechanical abilities
  • Flexible to work on any shift
