Job Description

1st and 2nd shift openings.

Relocation assistance is provided.


This Employee is responsible for fabrication of weldment from blueprints for a variety of projects by performing assigned duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensures materials are welded correctly by studying blueprints, visualizing and planning sequence of welding. Performs selected method and procedure of welding. 

  • Prepares materials to be welded by performing the duties such as: grouping together materials, checking sizes to print, aligning material per part print, tasking together weldment, verifying tolerance and welding project or weldment.

  • Produces quality weldment by accurately welding project or weldment. May be required to perform any of the following weldment procedures; hard weld (pre-heat block or casting and weld at proper temperature to ensure weldment does not crack and it properly cools down), production welding (verifies materials, welds and inspects finished weldment to ensure quality) and heat treating (heat to proper temperature and quench in oil or water to produce desired hardness). 

  • Finished weldment by grinding, sanding or chipping rough or sharp edges, weld splatter, surplus weld or scale. 

  • Maintains safe workplace by cleaning work area, machines, tools, and equipment. 

  • Inspects the finished weldment to ensure that all welds conform to print specifications.

  • Keeps training current and maintains ability to read and comprehend blueprints and weld symbols.

  • Accurately records work-related data to include proper time reporting, in addition to other required/requested data and information.

  • **Problem Solving/Strategic Thinking- **Analyzes specific safety, business and production processes or quality problems for the purpose of identifying the root cause(s) of the problem and assist with the development of recommendations for short and long-term resolution.

  • **Leadership experience and Style – **His/her management style will need to be based on the Servanthood leadership model with characteristics that include transparency, process based, a relentless drive for results, discernment and collaboration at all levels of the organization.



Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Two (2+) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, reprimands and commendations. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. 

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office applications.

  • Job requires knowledge and understanding of Company’s Syteline MRS.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit (at desk) and bend at the waist.

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to manipulate large parts using overhead lifting devices and precise measuring equipment such as computer probes, tooling, gauges, and fixtures.

  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
