The Market Nightlife Manager (MNM) will develop a working knowledge of the local bar universe and identifies venues whose populations are appropriate to support the Nightlife Program. The MNM establishes a relationship with the venue owners to be able to negotiate and contract the venue for execution. The MNM must ensure that the scope of the contracted venues is adequate to produce the designated Nightlife Program goals.

The MNM is also responsible for overseeing and managing between 1 and 3 Senior Brand Ambassadors (SBAs) and their teams of Brand Ambassadors (BAs) and Empowered Brand Ambassadors (EBAs), by providing them with the guidance and tools necessary to execute the program efficiently. The MNM should be prepared to assume the duties of the SBA as needed. The MNM holds ultimate responsibility for the success of the market and all program related materials such as tracking and maintaining proper amounts of inventory.

This position requires some travel. The position requires the MNM to regularly attend program trainings to keep up to date on current and relevant promotions and information related to their position. Travel may be requested and or required to assist with other Altria Programs. Travel should never hinder execution of the MNL program.

Field Team Management (Point of contact for field staff)

  • Managing/interviewing/coaching/training/development of Brand Ambassador staff
  • Identify and train Empowered Brand Ambassadors staff (recaps, photos, asset transport, opening/closing procedures)
  • Staffing/Scheduling events with venues and field staff
  • On site event team management
  • Able to implement tactics to improve employee retention with the market and region
  • Ensure executed events uphold the highest standards of compliance and safety for staff and general public
  • Be prepared to assume the duties of Senior Brand Ambassador, Empowered Brand Ambassador or Brand Ambassador as needed

Logistics Management:

  • Manage client assets, inventory, and event logistics (includes asset transport/arranging asset transport to and from events cases, a market vehicle)
  • Market Budget Management: includes labor hours management against client budget and market expenses
  • Storage unit management and shipping,
  • POS management make sure everyone has everything they need

Venue Management:

  • Identify local venues and present to client team for potential execution
  • Contracting venues, selling in the program and then maintaining the relationship
  • Scheduling with the venues
  • Product management with the venue


  • Allocates and prioritizes their time efficiently and to the most important issues
  • Schedule/manage event recaps through online reporting system with the assistance of the SBA(s)
  • Other weekly/monthly administrative tasks/reports
  • Conference Calls
  • Expense reporting
  • Staff timesheet approvals


  • Represents GMR Marketing, the program and the brand in a professional manner at all times
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to adapt or evolve with changing or shifting priorities while still meeting or exceeding expected goals


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Have reliable transportation (ability to transport assets in your vehicle)
  • At least 2-3 years of industry experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills of the English language
  • Extensive knowledge of computers with average to above average skills in programs such as Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new computer programs quickly and efficiently
