Sales Coordinator - Furniture & Design Industry

We are immediately seeking sales assistants (aka Job Captains) to join our growing team in San Diego, CA. This position’s primary function is to provide sales support to our business development and sales management team while serving as the primary point of contact between G|M and the client. The Job Captain is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships while providing accurate and timely product quotations, order management and planning, G|M technology insights and implementation, internal coordination and basic office functions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be extremely self-motivated and driven to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a detail-oriented person that is dedicated to accuracy and works well under pressure and continuous deadlines.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of professional office experience, preferably in a customer service or executive assistant position

Must be able to communicate effectively with a respectful professional urgency

Must have a servant’s attitude, performing all tasks with client needs and satisfaction as primary objective

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet or exceed expectations

Must have excellent follow-up, research, and resourcefulness abilities

Must be technologically inclined and proficient in all standard office software as well as adaptable to learning new technology

An interior design, sales or project management background is a plus

Must have the ability to learn quickly, work independently, and contribute in a team environment

Strong organizational and time management skills are required

Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks

Ability to conduct daily business according to company policy and is not easily persuaded to bend the rules

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary seated position approximately 90% of the time. There will be occasional shift sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting. In addition, the individual must also have the ability to lift between 10 – 25 lbs.

Education and Experience

Must possess a high school diploma, or GED

A Bachelor’s degree in interior design, business, communications or marketing is highly desired

2-3 years working in a business environment with a customer service focus

A valid CA driver’s license is required
