Receiving Associate

SUMMARY:

The Receiving Associate is responsible for handling inbound shipments according to customer SOP and GLC Distribution procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain the operational system dashboard with all receiving files
• Email customers daily with the status of all inbound shipments
• Ensure packing lists, instructions and all applicable internal and external documents are uploaded into Edocs
• Recording of arrival date, time and OS &D status in GLC and customers operational system
• Thoroughly review all packing lists for accuracy prior to uploading
• Identify any new SKU’s that are not already in our system prior to container arrival.
• Must verify and maintain correct SKU for all products.
• Must monitor inbound shipments and report all information to customers.
• Ensure customers use online portal for all pending orders
• Notify the team that appointments are required for any/all containers
• Weekly reports of the number of containers coming in.
• Must meet all deadline reports by the afternoon and stay in constant contact with customers
• Must report any damages or discrepancies to customers same day
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

• Ability to work and communicate with peers and management
• Ability to follow instructions and follow through with those instructions
• Ability to manage time and complete assigned work through strong organizational and problem-solving skills
