Network Engineer - 1099 Opportunity

  • 40 hours per week, home on weekends (some travel on Sundays)
  • 95% Travel (compensated hourly rate for travel – doesn’t count towards OT)
  • Travel within 6 hours of STL area – in your personal vehicle (no equipment, no mileage reimbursement)*
  • Work through the end of 2019 with potential to extend and out-of-state opportunity available
  • OT available, but not required paid at time and a half paid
  • Per Diem paid for duration of your stay
  • Hours vary based on client needs
    *If you decide to rent a vehicle for travel that would be at your expense.

Role and Responsibilities

This position requires extensive travel within the central-most portion of the United States to assist with integrating systems through merger and acquisitions for single and multi-site medical facilities. This position does require some overnight work as well as customer support throughout implementation.

  • · Collaborate in planning sessions prior to travel to client sites
  • · Travel to medical facilities to perform integration of existing systems with the new systems
  • · Perform Network Administration routing and switching using Cisco technologies
  • · Minimum 2-5 years’ experience working with various network devices
  • · Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in general Network Engineering
  • · Experience working in a team environment
  • · Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communications skills
  • · Network Devices: Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers (Multi-vendor Network Environment)
  • · Network Skills: TCP/IP, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IPSec VPN), Layer2/3 switching and VLAN configuration, Firewall security policy, wireless
  • · Troubleshoot errors as they arise under the supervision of senior team members
  • · Experienced with Windows OS with occasional exposure to Linux/UNIX environment
  • · Changing IP schema for location for compatibility with corporate office
