Senior Wireless Network Engineer

GCyber is hiring a Senior Wireless Network Engineer to support the Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management program who will be responsible for the health and maintenance of a large, complex enterprise wireless networking infrastructure, including over 400 wireless access points.  

As the Wireless Network Engineer, you will: 

• Provide comprehensive network administration, security enhancements and remediation, and troubleshooting of network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, WIFI, and VoIP

• Support the development, deployment, and integration of network security services

• Performs daily system monitoring; verifies the integrity and availability of networking hardware, services, systems, and key processes; review system and application logs

• Apply expertise managing and monitoring the health of Aruba Controllers, Access Points and Management Devices to include Airwave Management Platform (AMP) to troubleshoot connectivity issues

• Review problems to understand the root causes of issues and ensure proper fixes are implemented

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Active DoD Secret clearance

• DoD 8570 IAT III certification

• BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of relevant experience including  hands-on wireless network engineering experience in an enterprise DoD environment

• One or more of the following active network certifications:

• Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)

• Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP)

• Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)

• Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)

• Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

• Juniper Network Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-Junos)

• Juniper Network Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS-ENT)

• Extensive experience managing the health of Aruba Controllers, Access Points, and Management Devices (i.e., Airwave Management Platform)

• In depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols

• Experience with Network Management & Performance platforms including NetScout, IBM NetCool, Solarwinds, NetBrain, and/or Infovista

• Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network systems, switching, and routing protocol standards such as: TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, SDN, and 802.1x.

This position is 100% on site at our customer’s location in Arlington, VA.
