Intermediate Agile Project Manager

GAMA-1 has an immediate opportunity for a forward thinking IT Intermediate Agile Project Manager with a passion for growth and business transformation for a public sector client in the Washington, DC area. Duties and Responsibilities:

Support Program Managers to Oversees and manages multiple technology projects impacting cross-organizational departments to ensure deliverables are coordinated to support successful implementations using multiple types of project management frameworks and methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum or Kanban); serves as the primary liaison between technology staff, product owners, and business sponsors to fully define the requirements and software specifications to ensure the desired outcome and value for all technology deliverables; collaborates with project teams and technical teams to support continued improvement and delivery through service and product lifecycles.

+ Perform key project management support duties to support one or more Programs with respect to coordinating internal and external stakeholder meetings, preparation of meeting materials, data entry and other activities as assigned.

+ Tracks and supports management of cross-program or cross-project interdependencies; to include IT solutions.

+ Supports development of and applies structured program / project management standards, approaches, methodologies, tools and templates to enterprise transformation programs / projects working closely with the Lead Solutions Architect and key stakeholders

+ Work closely with program managers & subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements for data entry, WBS maintenance, meeting development and minutes' documentation.

+ Assist with work tracking and triaging of risks, issues, and action items.

+ Assist with querying and report generation for the review work and assignments from the work tracking tools including JIRA.

+ Assist with managing project plans, schedule, cost, and risk management

+ Assist project managers with managing projects and reports in JIRA utilizing agile boards

+ Assist with developing and managing various program status reports and briefings for internal and external stakeholders

+ Develop and update project documentation

+ Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

+ Build high quality relationships with various stakeholders including clients, users, company leaders and external partners.

+ Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Prepare and deliver presentations on Project Status and Updates, as well as Briefings to audiences who will receive project deliverables

+ Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.

+ Manage and facilitate stakeholder meetings and project deadlines

+ Integrates project plans and milestones within a defined scope into holistic master plan, identifying gaps and interdependencies.

+ Works with senior leadership and project teams to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of project success.

+ Manages program / project status reporting process for all in-scope programs / projects and creates senior leadership updates including dashboard and benefit realization reporting.

+ Identifies potential risks / issues / barriers to execution, and collaborates to develops specific plans to mitigate risk / resolve issues / remove barriers.

+ Able to work with Product Owners to create and prioritise user stories.

+ Work closely with the Solutions Architect to develop the technical design requirements and ensure the squad delivers a scalable and re-usable solutions.

+ Manage day-to-day activities of the team/squad, including creating, prioritizing & managing the backlogs of activities.

+ Facilitate squads' Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-ups, sprint demo, and Retrospectives.

+ Other duties as assigned.


+ 2+ years experience (Journeyman Mid-Level) in technical project management.

+ 2+ years experience in full-scale software development life-cycle using structure release management.

+ Proven experience supporting execution of complex technical projects and / or enterprise in IT transformations.

+ Demonstrated experience working with multiple level of highly technical stakeholder (both internal and external).

+ Prior history of utilizing project management tools to create dashboards & reporting; issue management.

+ Demonstrated experience working in a SCRUM Agile product development environment.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
