Job Description

GAMA-1 Technologies seeks a highly motivated, customer-oriented Project Lead to join our team. The selected candidate will support a high visibility Enterprise SharePoint program for a major office under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This is a strategically important position that will have a large impact on an already successful organization.

Position Description:

We are seeking a Project Lead to provide project support (project lifecycle: initiation to close-out and ongoing maintenance support), requirements gathering and normalization, business analysis, documentation support, basic end user support and escalation of user issues to different teams for resolution, and user training for a SharePoint project environment. The position will work directly with the customer as well as collaborate/coordinate with other contractors who are tasked to support existing applications, application development, project portfolio and IT infrastructure.

Project Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide project support as dictated by the government customer
  • Provide business analysis and support, and strategic planning to the government customer for ongoing portfolio
  • Work with the government customer to track, prioritize, normalize, and approve new features/functions
  • Work with the customer on gathering requirements, tracking requirements, normalizing requirements, verifying the requirements are within the project’s scope and following the process for stakeholder approval
  • Interface with the development team and participate in the testing of new features and functionality to ensure the delivered solution meets the requirements, and integrates well with the rest of the application
  • Coordinate the development of agreed upon features with the government customer and development team to ensure the features are delivered on time; hold regular meetings with the development team to ensure steady progress on the agreed upon schedule
  • Interface with other Project Managers to coordinate shared resources and schedules
  • Work closely with the government customer to provide regular status reporting (e.g. weekly and monthly reports), update the change/issues logs, and document functional/technical/non-functional requirements and use cases
  • Manage user onboarding and off-boarding request process
  • Work with the customer on content management strategies and support
  • Provide testing for any/all changes to SharePoint applications (including acceptance testing)
  • Provide user training and assist with updating user manuals/training materials as necessary
  • Provide customer-focused end user support for application related issues, troubleshooting, and coordinate with the development, network and IT departments for related support
  • Provide support with development of policies, processes, and statistical information as needed
  • Ensure that the application aligns with SharePoint Best Practices
  • Apply user experience principles and design best practices
  • Work/Coordinate/Collaborate with other Contractors (including administrators and infrastructure)

  • Knowledge of PMI PMBoK
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and Scrum
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience with Electronic Records Management practice and policies
  • Experience with Configuration Management practice and policies
  • Business Analysis and Policy experience
  • Experience with SharePoint features including tracking, calendar, lists, views and more
  • Experience with the design and development of SharePoint 2019 front end and back end solutions and applications
  • Experience with SharePoint 2019 Infrastructure
  • Experience with system architecture, application design, database design and administration
  • Experience with Data Management and Content Management
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues and communicating the results to end users at a business level
  • Experience with following established change management processes to communicate systems changes and identify and mitigate risk
  • Experience with current web design tools and techniques and other modern web frameworks
  • Experience with 508 compliancy and other mandatory government web regulations
  • Experience with providing user training and updating training guides/materials
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to different PM methodologies
  • Self-driven team player with ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Able to meet requirements for maintaining professional certifications and keep technical skills up-to-date
  • Excellent Customer Service skills including both strong written and verbal communication
  • Proven record in setting and meeting project deadlines
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
