The Electrical Engineering Technician plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GA Telesis processes. This position is responsible for conducting inspections of maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations as authorized in the repair station roster. They are also responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of the articles on which the repair station or any of its contractors perform maintenance or alterations before approving that article for return to service.

Responsibilities:

  • Test components and assemblies using ATE and handheld equipment and tools.
  • Follow procedures for testing, calibration, and verification of standard products, in cooperation with System Engineers as required.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electronics assemblies, components, and boards.
  • Assemble and test wire harnesses, cables, and subassemblies.
  • Some mechanical assembly is required.
  • Perform a variety of complex technical functions related to the assembly, test, and troubleshooting of mechanical or electro-mechanical instruments.
  • Perform minor repair and maintenance of test equipment.
  • Understand electronic component functionality and interpret and follow electrical schematics or may need the ability to interpret mechanical assembly prints.
  • Perform troubleshooting, often to the component level, utilizing assembly prints, mechanical part drawings, schematics, and electronic equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, frequency counters, pressure indicators, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years prior experience in Production and/or Manufacturing. Experience in the manufacturing/testing/troubleshooting of Aircraft instruments or other related instruments.
  • Knowledge of engineering software that includes but is not limited to LabVIEW, SolidWorks, and ADAS.
  • Must have experience using Express SCH, Front Panel
  • Full knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office suite

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology desired.
