Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position based on what we are asking you to do in the role starts at $120,000 and goes up to $160,000, based on qualifications. We'd like to start somewhere in that ballpark and go from there. Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motived, team-oriented Senior Program Manager (SPM) to join our team in Arlington, VA. This position will require visits our customers at the Pentagon on occasion (about three times per week). As a Senior Program Manager, you will act as a liaison between NAVWAR and Program Resource Sponsors. This will be a versatile role that will be expected to build relationships and maintain communications between stakeholders. The SPM’s responsibilities include managing a portfolio of complex and high visibility systems engineering projects, including technical and quality control oversight.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the assigned projects to ensure compliance with technical requirements, schedule, and budget. The candidate will interface with the Customer Program Office and other third parties daily. The SPM will prepare reports for upper management as required and ensure program requirements are not only being met but communicated between Customers.
To be successful in this role, interested candidates should have at least six (6) years of relevant professional experience managing systems engineering projects for US Navy programs. You should be able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and engineering leadership teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and Customer expectations are being met. The ability to analyze new and complex program-related problems and create innovative solutions that integrate schedule, technology, methodology, tools, and financial aspects are critical components to this position.
We require a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (while a technical degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Systems is preferred, we welcome those with Business Management degrees as well).
Next, as we are working for the DOD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DOD Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI without issue.
