Job Description

Overview:

The experienced Sr. Accountant is responsible of the day-to-day of all general accounting, creating forecast, accounts payable, reconciliation, budgeting, internal controls, and reporting functions of two (2) business entities. Will be part of an accounting, and finance organization transformation project, to assess all key process within the accounting cycles.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintain complete and accurate tasks lists and status of open items.
  • Maintain general ledgers including the preparation of material journal entries and complex balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Participate in the month end close.
  • Lead select activities involving the month end close.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Prepare financial and data analysis completely and accurately.
  • Prepare complex financial and accounting analysis completely and accurately.
  • Prepare complex analysis for internal customers, external accountants, and Auditors.
  • Prepare initial draft of financial statements.
  • Identify issues proactively and communicate to manager along with potential range of solutions.
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
  • Deliver assigned work product requiring little or no correction.
  • Prepare complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation involving new activities and for updating for process changes as required.
  • Operational Transformation support including owning end—to—end processes, independent issue resolution from start to finish and streamlining departmental processes.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Ensure processes are following G|CLUBS accounting policies and US GAAP.
  • Communicate known issues to manager timely.
  • Provide technical support and advice to management when required.
  • Research technical and operational accounting issues and provide range of potential solutions.
  • Consistently meet communicated deadlines with little to no assistance.
  • Demonstrate an intermediate understanding of Quickbooks online.
  • Engage directly with customers and business partners on routine activities and deliverables; continue to develop relationships.
  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  • Participate on organization committees.
  • Participate in all relevant training.
  • Experience with regulatory agency filings like for example Puerto Rico Department of Treasury (SURI), Department of State, Municipality of San Juan, CRIM.
  • Self-motivated, initiates tasks with little to no guidance or support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA eligible
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant functional accounting or finance experience
  • Key ERP and edge system experience preferred
  • Basic and intermediate accounting and financial reporting skills that include the following:
    1. Proficiency in PC skills {MS Excel,Word, Power Point, Access & One Note) required
  • Demonstrated advanced technical financial reporting knowledge and experience
  • Advanced Quickbooks online skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and overall communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in an unstructured environment
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and operations colleagues
  • in all applicable Pfizer Finance and business functional areas

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Fully bilingual (Spanish and English)

Work Condition

  • Office environment.
  • Travel as required.
