Production Supervisor - 2nd shift

Position Title: Production Supervisor - 2nd 3p - midnightLocation: Swededboro, NJReports to: Production ManagerSalary: $70-80k + 10% bonusShift: Monday – Friday with rotating SaturdaysRESPONSIBILITIESThe Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting management with operational activities within the production facility during their designated shift and contributes to the site’s overall strategic direction. The incumbent provides leadership to the Production staff to help ensure production objectives and performance standards are met.Ensure proper planning, staffing, and direction of the operational functions of the production processReview all operations performance daily to ensure optimal production is reachedSupervise team of production staff, approving timesheets, schedule changes, transfers in/out of the department and time off requestsEnsure proficient training, staff development, and effective employee relations and recognition is achieved for all operational personnelMaintain pertinent operational statistics through performance management software, financial management information, and results reportingWork to ensure team meets targets on overall business level and ensures desired Service Level Agreements are met with optimum quality and serviceDevelop and handle changes in staff schedules and staffing needs for the roomGenerate, review, and manage process and facility SOP’sSupport and drive the QA systems which ensure the Processing facility meets or exceeds USDA food processing standardsRun production lines and assist with the workload as needed to ensure all orders schedule to be completed in the room are finished before the end of shiftPerform other duties and support other activities as assigned by the Management within scope and abilityExperience & Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience; Bachelor’s degree a plus3+ years of experience in food manufacturing - protein / further processing industry a plusExperience working in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment with tight deadlines to be met on a daily basisExcellent computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong conflict management skillsAbility to mentor, train, and lead Processing staffExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility and willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business needsStrong organizational skills and ability to ensure deadlines are metAbility to maintain regular and predictable attendanceAbility to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Ability to work under, comply with and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by the company
