The candidate will serve as on-site support at NAS Pax River for the Systems Engineering IPT Lead and will carry out the tasks and functions of the position as directed by the IPT Lead; will engage with the DT&I Team on a regular basis in an effort to remain aware of ongoing tasks, raise awareness of anticipated issues and provide solutions to address potential risks.
The candidate will work in a team environment to provide suggestions to benefit the government on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and procedures, product release and test scheduling, requirements decomposition, software cyber security analysis and deliverables; provide feedback on system engineering issues (compatibility with targeted operational environments, help desk tickets, customer requirements etc.) for multiple products and contracting companies.
Candidate should possess knowledge of software design and development processes. Candidate will review and provide feedback on weekly reports from SE contractors, manage SE risk reviews, attend SE meetings with contractors and support the SE-IPT lead in all activities. Additionally, candidate will facilitate communication among contractors, CSS and PMO/government and across all IPT's as needed. Candidate must be capable of representing the government as needed in stakeholder meetings and use critical thinking/planning to provide suggestions for improvement on all SE processes. Candidate must also review overarching product networking/architectural requirements.
Candidate will engage contractors in detailed development discussions and provide feedback as well as participate in design reviews for all software products. Candidate will review deliverables and provide comments or suggestions, provide input as requested for SE documents (SEP, TEMP, OCMP, Cyber Security documentation, Requirements Management, Risk Management etc.), and suggest and maintain metrics for tracking efficiency in SE processes (as needed).

Must have a Secret Clearance
BS/BA in engineering-related field, software development and/or networking and a minimum 3 years' experience in software projects and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) products.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift, stand, and bend/stoop occasionally.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
The Lab environment is controlled and cooled below 70 degrees to avoid computer/equipment failure.
Travel is up to 25% of the time.
