PC Refresh Technician

We have an opening for a PC Refresh Technician in Baltimore, MD. The primary function of this position will be to configure and upgrade laptop and desktop computers.

This is a temporary job opening that is expected to last 3-6 months. Monday - Friday work schedule, with standard business hours.

Please note: Candidates will be required to show proof of being vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Examining materials received, verifying parts numbers and checking discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Unpacking and setting up PCs (laptops and desktops) to initiate the configuration process.
• Movement of computers from staging area out to user locations on a medical campus (using carts).
• Performing post-imaging tasks such as renaming and joining the system to a domain.
• Mapping printers and installing Print drivers and/or other drives as necessary.
• Transfer of data and user profiles from old to new PCs
• Basic troubleshooting and repairing laptops and desktops that are not operational upon receipt.
• Familiar with SCCM/WSUS (Symantec Altiris is a plus)

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with refreshing Windows PCs in an enterprise environment (large scale)
• Must be familiar with Windows 10 OS including drive mapping, printer setup and driver installation
• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and/or work independently
• Excellent Communication
• Being vaccinated against COVID-19
