Job Description

Future Colossal is kicking off multiple physically immersive installations and tangible interactive experiences that will be launched this summer. We are looking for several talented Artists, to hire on a project by project basis that will work along side our team to bring these experiences to life. Varying levels of experience will be considered. Positions are currently on a project by project basis but have potential to turn into a full-time position in the future.

We are looking for two artist types: Unity Technical Artist or Motion Artist (or someone with experience in both). Portfolio Required. Must currently be living in the New York City or Atlanta area; payment for relocation is not offered. No phone calls or recruiters.


Unity Technical Artist: Utilize the Unity game engine to create 2D, 3D, and physically immersive experiences. Find, adjust, create, and integrate assets into Unity to create environments full of life, characters, and effects. The artist will need the following skillsets:

  • Unity Art Pipeline
    • Shader Graph
    • VFX Graph
    • Applying basic script to animate objects/scenes
    • Level design
    • UI design
  • 3D Modeling / Animation / Texturing
  • Adobe CC - 2D pipeline
  • Bonus points:
    • motion graphics
    • Audio editing
    • Fabrication
    • 3D printing

Motion Artist: Create CG & motion graphics assets for integration into custom software. Design SFX that our Creative Technology team programs into real-time interactive visual effects. Develop visual/motion concepts, mood boards, and style guides for experiences then work with our team to realize this vision. The artist will need the following skillsets:

  • Strong design eye for 2D, 3D, and Motion
  • CG and compositing
  • Motion Graphics and animation
  • Adobe CC - 2D & Motion pipelines
  • Bonus points:
    • Unity game engine
    • 3D modeling, texturing, animation
    • Audio editing
    • 3D printing
    • Experience with interactive/programmatic graphics

We display our installations throughout the world at brand events, digital out-of-home media, trade shows, technology events, festivals, live events, permanent installations, and museum/gallery exhibitions and have clients across a wide variety of industries.
