We are seeking a bright, motivated Executive Vice President of Engineering to lead our Software Engineering team! This candidate will participate in dynamic and challenging projects to establish and implement standards and practices that result in the on-time delivery of high-quality software and applications. Position Description & Responsibilities:

The Software Engineering division is vital to our organization’s mission and growth. As the head of the Engineering division, you are empowered to establish and implement standards and practices that result in on-time delivery of high-quality software. You must demonstrate knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle. This role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and must have at least 15 years of experience, including coding, project and software engineering management, and technical leadership. This role will take ownership of a multitude of tasks that will enhance the Software Engineering team’s success, such as:

  • Produce solutions that continue to disrupt our industry.
  • Work in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer to execute on vision and strategies.
  • Define and communicate the software development strategy to the C-Suite, management, employees, partners, and customers
  • Utilize your collaborative skills to work with business partners, IT managers, and database administrators, to ensure high reliability, availability, and performance of applications
  • Ensure that the focus and priority of development activities align with company goals.
  • Forecast resourcing and staffing needs to meet deadlines and requirements
  • Discover and implement new technologies that yield a competitive advantage
  • Built quality assurance and data protection processes.
  • Monitor KPIs to assess performance.
  • Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 15+ years of overall experience in software engineering
  • 15+ years experience in Information Technology & Software Application Development
  • 10+ years of Application Programming
  • 10+ years of experience in the following:
    • Angular or Angular.JS
    • ASP.NET Core
    • Java or C#
    • JavaScript
    • SQL (SQL Server preferred)
    • Experience with Git & CI tools
  • 7+ years of Application Architecture
  • 10+ years of leadership development experience on application development projects
  • 2+ years of experience with Domain Oriented Microservices Architecture
  • Experience implementing SOA projects and integrating legacy-based applications within an SOA infrastructure
  • Experience working with relational databases; Proficient in SQL
  • Interest in learning and applying new technologies and concepts
  • Enjoy contributing to a team environment
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy making a difference in the business through your technical contribution

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership and Organizational Abilities.
  •  5+ years experience in the following
    • TypeScript
    • Container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Big Data Technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Presto)
    • Streaming Data Technologies (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming)
    • AI Infrastructure & Blockchain Technology (Encrypted Storage on Distributed Ledger)
  • 7+ years of experience in the following:
    • AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another public cloud service
    • Agile-Scrum / Scaled Agile practices, including Kanban & Feature Driven Development (SAFe 5.0 or Agile Certification is a plus)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Algorithms & Data Structures
  • Passionate problem solver, building the best solutions for the most important problems
  • Ability to communicate thoughtfully, leveraging problem-solving skills and a learning mindset to build long-term relationships
  • Working knowledge of governance/security concepts and technologies including (encryption, anonymization, PCI, PII, ISO-8583, etc.)

Additional Details:

  • This is an on-site, full-time, salaried position. Our normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
