Machine Process & Field Service Technician - Automated Equipment

POSITION SUMMARY:

Checkout, test, debug, develop automated processes, and install industrial automated equipment. Provide technical service and support including troubleshooting and repair of customer machine problems and provide customer training as necessary. Normal work schedule: M-F, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop optimal heat patterns for automated brazing and soldering operations

· Test and troubleshoot machine operations

· Develop machine processes to meet required specifications and production rates

· Conduct machine demonstration for customer evaluation and approval

· Write operating and maintenance manuals for custom automated equipment

· Occasional travel to a customer’s facility to install the machine and train personnel on operation and maintenance

· Evaluate, troubleshoot and repair customer machine problems in the field

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience and training

· Troubleshooting and problem solving skills

· Able to travel 20%, both national and international; must have current passport

· Exceptional interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to read blueprints and familiarity with CAD drawings and ladder logic

· Must provide own basic hand tools for day to day work and for service calls
