About the Position

As a Shipping, Receiving, & Inventory Clerk at Soaring, you'll play a critical role in our organization by validating, securing, and issuing state-of-the-art electro-mechanical components for assembly and shipment to our valued customers. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining an efficient supply chain will directly contribute to the success of our cutting-edge operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Receiving

• Inspect shipments for damage or defects, meticulously recording any discrepancies or damages and promptly notifying purchasing personnel.
• Receive incoming product and prepare it for inspection, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Properly store incoming product upon quality assurance approval or dock it for stocking, verifying received orders against purchase orders.
• Process necessary paperwork and accurately receive drop shipments into the enterprise resource planning system.
• Manage rejected products, facilitating their return to the vendor and processing related documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors to coordinate boxing and product releases.
• Conduct receipt and issue transfers to return-to-vendor locations and quarantine areas.

Shipping

• Print picking tickets and meticulously cross-reference items to be shipped against picking tickets for accuracy.
• Utilize the company's enterprise resource planning shipping system (e.g., UPS, Speedy, FedEx, Truck Carriers) to ship products securely and efficiently.
• Organize outgoing materials, products, and supplies with utmost care, ensuring proper labeling and packing to safeguard against damage during shipment.
• Communicate shipment details effectively to the relevant departments, ensuring seamless coordination.
• Proactively track lost shipments and handle customer claims, initiating proof of delivery documents as needed.

Production Kitting

• Prepare production kits by accurately picking the required parts based on job specifications received from production.
• Regularly inspect stored materials, reporting any deterioration or damage immediately to ensure timely vendor returns.

Daily Activities

• Skillfully operate a dolly and pallet jack to load and unload supplies and equipment, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
• Maintain the accuracy of inventory and associated paperwork at each phase of daily tasks.
• Conduct daily Cycle Counts to ensure inventory precision.
• Contribute to a safe and clean working environment through diligent performance of general housekeeping duties.
• Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventive maintenance of equipment, ensuring optimal functioning.

Requirements

• Education: Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program or equivalent experience.
• Prior Experience: 3+ years of industry experience in a high-rate warehousing environment, demonstrating your ability to thrive in fast-paced logistics operations.
• Computer Skills: Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems such as Odoo is preferred.
• Equipment: Experience operating equipment such as a forklift is advantageous.
• Industry specific: The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings IAW Y14.5 principles, contributing to precise inventory management.

Compensation and Perks

Salary potential: $49,000 - $66,000 DOE
