Frost Brown Todd LLC is currently seeking a Legal Practice Assistant to join our Pittsburgh Office. This individual will be assigned to support multiple attorneys and paralegals. Litigation experience is required.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Drafts and proofreads correspondence and legal documents, and prepares revisions as directed.
  • Coordinates document preparation and completes other general office duties such as copying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Maintains and updates calendars for assigned attorneys, coordinates travel, and schedules meetings.
  • Enters and coordinates docketing information, and stays informed of case/project statuses.
  • Creates and maintains electronic client files and indexes, and performs routine filing.
  • Prepares, packs, and mails trial and deposition prep binders and other mail and packages.
  • Processes expense reimbursements and coordinates client billing with accounting department
  • Assists in the preparation and submission of electronic time records for timekeepers.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of legal practice assistant experience.
  • Litigation experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to handle workload of 4-5 attorneys.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out instruction.
  • Ability to prioritize, focus on the task at hand, and stay organized.
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to shift attention from one area of work to another quickly without frustration.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook. Ability to calculate and calendar court dates.
