Frost & Sullivan is currently looking for a Research Analyst for our Visionary Science business unit. The position will be attached to our Chemicals & Materials for Infrastructure & Mobility industry group within the business unit. In this role, you will be part of an international team of analysts conducting market research services, consulting projects, and online subscription products covering the specialty chemicals and advanced materials markets, with a focus on coatings, adhesives, sealants, and polymers for building & construction, transportation, and other manufacturing applications. As part of the analyst team, you will collect & analyze data on market conditions & business opportunities, author market, company, and technology studies, develop relationships with leaders in the industry and conduct interviews with key industry participants in the Americas. You will also act as the lead/support analyst on custom consulting projects within the specialty chemicals and advanced materials industries and develop and present business strategic recommendations to our clients that range from global multinational companies to start up firms. You'll also author articles for third-party journals and become a thought leader in the industry by participating in conferences, events, and being interviewed by journalists as an expert on the hot topics of the day.

Responsibilities:
+ Primary and secondary data research collection, forecasting, strategic analysis
+ Monitor markets in the advanced materials, specialty chemicals, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and polymers for building & construction, transportation, and other manufacturing applications
+ Proactive business development with major market participants as well as start-ups
+ Assist in client consulting assignments
+ Author market studies and articles
+ Conduct analyst briefings on top issues of the day
+ Talk with journalists with industry publications as well as national newspapers, blogging opportunities
+ Select and research companies for the prestigious Best Practice award program
+ Help drive the overall direction of the Chemicals & Materials for Infrastructure & Mobility industry group and the larger Visionary Science teams with your insights from research and previous experiences
+ Become a recognized thought leader in the market
Qualifications:
+ Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Economics, Finance, Marketing, MBA or related fields
+ Candidates with 3+ years of experience in any of the above fields or a combination of qualification and experience
+ Solid communication skills (written and oral) are essential
+ Analytical and number crunching skills including quantitative and qualitative modeling for forecasts and trends
+ Must be able to synthesize business implications with a strong grasp of market economics and dynamics to deliver market growth forecasts and analysis
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills are critical
+ Commitment to quality and an intellectual curiosity a must
+ Ability to focus on market details as well as understand the bigger global implications that affect the market
+ Candidates must be able to work within a team environment as well as autonomously
