SUMMARY OF SENIOR ACCOUNTANT POSITION

Frontline Management is seeking  an experienced and detail oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in beautiful Lafayette, CO.  You will be responsible for the timely and accurate monthly preparation of financial statements for our multiple senior living/long term care communities throughout CO, KS, AZ, SC, OH and SD. You will assist the team with monthly tasks such as reconciliations, month-end journal entries and accruals and is responsible for reconciling and analytically reviewing the balance sheet, income statement accounts. Additionally, you will establish, modify, document and coordinate the implementation of audit and accounting control practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor bank accounts for cash flow requirements.
  • Assist communities with payroll, AP, cash flow and other Accounting related inquiries.
  • Coordinate month end activities for all communities including financial reports, balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow and ensure compliance iwth GAAP principles. 
  • Manage monthly banking/loan compliance reports.
  • Assist Staff Accountant with maintenance of capital purchases and depreciation schedules, when necessary. 
  • Analyze and reconcile GL accounts and financials statements by reviewing actual to budget. 
  • Perform internal auditing procedures for selected accounts and transactions. 
  • Assist with Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. 
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 years of Accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent  communication skills (phone and in person)
  • CPA, working knowledge of GAAP and capital processes and auditing preferred.
