What You’ll Do: Sell wholesale frozen Danish and Pastries to distributors, high-end hotels and restaurants. Experience selling to distributors and/or high-end hotels and restaurants is mandatory.
If you are the kind of person who can effectively work from home about 35% of the time
and travel regionally about 65% of the time, then this position may be ideal for you!
Most of your time will be spent face-to-face with customers at their site, baking top-
quality croissant and Danish pastry products. Typically, baking samples takes about 20-
30 minutes, followed by 15 – 30 minutes of product discussion with the

cold-called or that have been referred to you. Occasionally, you’ll make information-
only presentations (no baking) to customers and also attend trade shows.
Most of the time in your home office will be spent on the phone with customers setting
up appointments, cold calling prospects, creating Request For Proposal responses to
potential clients, calling referrals, following-up, etc.
If you’re applying for this position, you obviously already know how to sell. But if you
don’t have experience in selling bakery products or baking, don’t worry. We know that
people don’t care about companies until they know that you care about them.
Your first week is devoted to training in both sales techniques and in baking. We will
also provide an initial book of customers and leads to get you started and follow you
through a 90-day onboarding program to ensure your success. When we’re finished,
you’ll be perfectly confident in handling your business goals.

This position requires that you possess a valid driver’s license and are able to drive,
sometimes for several hours to client sites. You may be required to travel some weekend days, as business demands deem necessary. But don’t worry, if you do, you’ll be compensated with equivalent time.
To reiterate, you must be able to work from home about 35% of the time, which means
you must be willing to drive and/or board a plane for about the other 65%.
