We are seeking a Director of Performance Creative to drive the creative output needed to accomplish the company's mission and current level of growth. You'll take pride in quality creative as defined by the Creative KPI (AIDA) Methodology reporting & tracking the work developed within the organization and inspire the creative department through modeling creative excellence. Your unique ability to understand the collaboration of Growth, Performance Marketing, and Creative Strategy paired with your extensive knowledge of building and managing a performance creative department equips you for this role.

Your ability to take vision and implement systems and processes into a performance creative department including strategists, producers, editors, and designers to push your department's work to new heights. You'll work directly with the Growth and Executive team to align the financial progress of the company with the creative functions of the business that drive efficient and sustainable revenue growth. You will use your deep knowledge set to identify and elevate key creative players, acquire new talent, and lead your department to success. Your combined vision and best-in-class experience for creative strategy results in world-class eCommerce creative designed for performance. You will identify best practices and build repeatable strategies that can scale to drive customer acquisition on various digital channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.

You’re fueled by a passionate sense of curiosity for 'why' video advertisements work and how social media trends go viral. You have a mixed background in concepting, scripting, production management, and insights & performance analysis while being ready to motivate and lead an internal team of Strategists, Producers, and Editors.


  • Creative Analysis: Partner with Growth team to monitor creative success and pull data-informed insights to optimize future iterations of creative and new concepts. This might be changing on-ramps, visuals, narratives, or using a new user voice to target different personas.
  • Research: Review comments and reviews to increase understanding of our audiences and create new written concepts that speak directly to what our customers care about and are motivated by.
  • Creative Storytelling: Ideate, script, and produce new video concepts each week, while ensuring efficient usage and experimentation of existing assets to drive sustainable growth and customer acquisition
  • Measure: Develop and monitor performance creative KPIs that span growth and brand (mapping to the user journey) and tie back to business objectives; track these regularly
  • Generate: Work with the content manager to ideate and generate new creative assets from multiple ongoing sources including, but not limited to, in-house production, external studio partners, customer UGC submissions, talent job boards, content creator platforms, influencers, reviews syndication, and more.
  • Collaborate: Work with the media buying team to leverage data and learnings to optimize creative strategy and messaging
  • Lead: Inspire, organize, mentor, and grow a team of Creative Strategists and Video Editors at all levels of experience
  • Win: Drive results that increase marketing budgets quarter over quarter

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience leading a creative department or creative business
  • Previous experience managing and leading a team of Creative Staff
  • Mastery of brand and creative planning frameworks and models
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific creative requirements and what's most effective on each platform/channel
  • Background in growth marketing and/or deep understanding of analyzing performance metrics within paid media platforms
  • A portfolio of digital content you have helped create (or created yourself), and the ability to talk about the strategy that informed each piece in the portfolio
  • Combination of excellent conceptual and copywriting skills
  • Able to combine streamlined copywriting and visual narratives into one medium
  • Ability to bring ideas to life on a whiteboard, big stage presentation, or finished content
