The Loan Officer Assistant works alongside the producing Manager. The main goal is assisting with the loan origination process, Assist the Sr. Processor collect conditions, as well as performing daily administrative tasks in a timely, complete and professional manner . The Loan Officer Assistant will be empowered to take initiative and to make decisions for the producing branch manager, allowing him to bring in more businesses.
The purpose of this position is to act as a liaison between the producing manager, borrowers, mortgage processors, brokers and underwriters.
Contacts applicants by telephone, e-mail, or in-person meetings to gather financial information, including employment, assets, financial status, current debts and current expenses.
Receives data needed by loan originator to verify employment length, financial statement accuracy, and collateral asset values
Clears underwriting conditions and reviews closing conditions
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to effectively and professionally handle difficult situations that may arise when working with branches/divisions
Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Familiarity with Accounting terms and procedures (e.g. debits, credits, General Ledgers, etc.) Preferences

Salary Plus Commission and bonuses / 1099 pay

Mortgage Loan Processing: 1 year. Calyx Point and DU knowledge preferred but not required
