Position Overview:

Join a dynamic fast-paced and collaborative team managing securitization of Freddie Mac’s re-performing mortgage loan portfolio in our Investments & Capital Markets division. If you are a curious, self-motivated team player we are looking for you.

Under the mentorship of and in collaboration with senior team members, you will assist in all aspects of deal execution from collateral preparation to investor pitches to execution and settlement. This will include deal structuring, working with rating agencies, underwriters, and reviewing and negotiating legal documents.

Our Impact:

Our team is responsible for management of Freddie Mac's Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and Re-performing Loan (RPL) positions in the company's retained portfolio. This includes Seasoned Credit Risk Transfer (SCRT), Seasoned Loans Structured Transactions (SLST) and NPL Sale programs

Your Impact:
  • Develop and implement processes and strategies for residential mortgage-backed securitizations.

  • Assist in securitization processes, collateral management, structuring, market receptivity, investor development and other securitization components from collateral identification to settlement

  • Directly support creation and drive review of deal documents, including term sheets, offering materials, investor presentations, etc

  • Respond to investor input and issues as needed

  • Monitor and interpret data affecting securitization programs such as price, yield, investor preferences, rating agency trends and other market dynamics.

  • Ensure transactions meet agreed-upon timetables

  • Analyze post issuance deal performance and monitor triggers and remittance reports and reconciliations

  • Constantly work to identify improvements to departmental processes and practices

  • Identify solutions which are innovative, practical, controlled, thoughtful and thorough

  • Support management, departmental and FHFA projects and requests as needed

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience, with some securitization experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. finance, economics, engineering)

  • Working knowledge of securitization structures, mortgage fundamentals, loss mitigation, and loan servicing

  • Effective communicator and collaborator with dealers, accountants, lawyers and investors.

  • Ability to think on your fee, thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with team members

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review and manage deal documents

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $138,000 - $208,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
