Pharmacy Technician - Independent Pharmacy

Franwin Pharmacy located in Mineola, NY is searching for a full-time pharmacy technician in our compounding pharmacy. Tasks include all aspects of non-sterile compounding, prescription entering, and general clerical work. Applicant should have excellent attention to detail, maintain good organizational skills, and enjoy an atmosphere where they will be learning daily.

We offer on the job training but some compounding experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of the PK compounding software is also advantageous but not a requisite.

We are a very customer-service oriented pharmacy, so strong communication skills and enjoyment of working closely with customers is a must. Because we fill only compounded prescriptions, every day may bring a different rhythm, so a flexible and analytical approach to tasks is desirable.

Required Attributes:

• Strong computer skills
• Proficient in basic mathematics, including division, multiplication, and percentages
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoyment of a retail environment and helping customers in a friendly, caring manner
• Maintain cleanliness of pharmacy lab
