Clinical Research Assistant

Foundation For Sickle Cell Disease Research Hollywood, FL

  • Expired: over a month ago. Applications are no longer accepted.
Job Description

We need a clinical research assistant to take on tasks involving proper documentation of participants, disseminating necessary information, assisting researchers in setting up trials, and facilitating smooth progress of these studies and experiments.

You are required to help gather trial participants via our EHR, and reviewing our online web submissions, and must ensure that the demographics of participants match those required by the trial. You will gather necessary paperwork, including consent forms, from participants and file them securely in a manner that adheres to all laws and regulations and protects the confidentiality of participants.

You also help with basic aspects of the trial itself, which may include the dissemination of trial medication or placebos under laboratory supervision. The study will likely require the accumulation of participant data, so you must help secure these measurements by adding them to spreadsheets or study data sheets for lead researchers to utilize.

Clinical Research Assistant Tasks

  • Support clinical research, including recruitment, scheduling, patient care, and transportation.
  • Set up and maintain experimental or clinical equipment.
  • Process, document, and analyze results of laboratory tests or experiments.
  • Write, update, and maintain study documentation and reports.
  • Enter and verify data, including adverse events and patient compliance, to create reports.
Company Description
We are fighting a battle for people living with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). The Foundation for Sickle Cell Disease Research (FSCDR) is the United States’ first outpatient center exclusively dedicated to the treatment of and innovative research for SCD. Florida has the highest population of individuals living with SCD in the U.S. In 2012, we opened the center in Hollywood, FL, offering focused care and collecting data through clinical trials. We utilize a human-centric, community-based, rigorously scientific approach to caring for our patients and finding better solutions to treat them.

For the past six years, we have grown strong roots in the South Florida community and have taken great strides toward our mission of resetting the narrative around SCD through specialized care and innovative research.

We are focused on helping people living with SCD—offering more support to our patients, their families, and the broader sickle cell trait and advocate communities, while creating a center for collaborative research that encourages scientists, medical professionals, and physicians researching and treating SCD to work toward new, life-improving solutions.
