Our New York location has featured work from Ellen von Unwerth, Tawny Chatmon, Helene Schmitz, Adi Nes, and Anastasia Taylor-Lind in partnership with TIME Magazine, Andres Serrano, Pixie Lao, Adrienne Raquel, and others. The Role Reporting to Fotografiska New York's General Manager and the Global Director of Tourism Sales & Partnerships for Fotografiska, this newly created role is going to play a crucial part in developing and implementing tourism sale strategies and ensuring sales goals are achieved or exceeded for Fotografiska New York.

The Tourism & Group Sales Manager's focus will be developing and managing sales specifically for the Fotografiska New York location, growing both B2C and B2B sales programs, group sales for existing and new clients, and other ticket sales projects that fall within this business unit separate from the museum’s direct-to-consumer online and on-site sales. This role also includes daily execution of group sales communications, reservations, payments, order changes, and communication with other departments about our client needs. Based from the phenomenal Fotografiska New York Museum and the CultureWorks corporate offices a few blocks up, there will be hybrid work opportunities. This role is not expected to travel but will need to work evenings or weekends as needed to attend NYC networking events within the Tourism and Sales industries. Requirements 3-5 years or more of sales experience as a Manager or Coordinator, preferably in the attractions and museums sector, with a focus on sales built by fostering positive client relationships.

Demonstrated knowledge in Tourism Industry and/or Group Sales, its vocabulary, and its unique set of sales and marketing needs domestically and internationally. Fotografiska is open to a variety of educational, professional, and training backgrounds in support of role In its first 90 days, the Manager should take on the management of our ticketing sales platform (FHub), secure an understanding of Ticket Reseller programs, and have the ability to pitch the museum's unique selling proposition. Within 12 months. the Manager should demonstrate visible growth in sales within the business unit across both B2B and B2C, have the ability to run a full circle of the Group Sales program, have implemented a fully functioning outreach program, and have the ability to assist in developing SOPs and systems for the local market. Achieve and exceed the department's monthly and annual sales goals. Cultivate new & existing business from B2B and B2C clients. Manage and service all group sales inquiries from beginning to end. Initiate, maintain and manage contracts and sales programs with tour operators, OTAs, receptive operators, and other clients within the sales department. Assist with managing new and existing third-party ticket reseller programs. Create weekly and monthly sales reports for each sales channel. Implement concierge and affiliate sales programs, including visits to concierges and networking events. Host site inspections as needed. Ability to quickly learn and use a new ticketing system to make and update group reservations, sales data, and customer management, and make recommendations for new processes or improvements to the system. Managing clients through our CRM and periodic database cleanup. Possibly attend tradeshows on your own or along with the Director of Tourism Sales, as needed. Attend various evening networking events and/or work occasional weekends if occasion requires. Proactively generate and support new promotional partnerships in the NYC and tri-state area, finding new, cost-efficient, and brand-appropriate partners for Fotografiska New York to broaden its message. Assist with the creation of ticket offers for third-party partners, as well as brainstorm new incentives and promotions that will help drive Fotografiska’s attendance. Strong analytical skills complemented by the ability to create a quick rapport using strong personal relationship skills in person, in writing, and on the telephone. Full proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required. A strong skillset in other MS Office programs, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) management, Photoshop or other design programs is helpful, but not required.
