Information Technology Project Manager

Foster Garvey PC, one of the Pacific Northwest's leading law firms, is looking for an Information Technology Project Manager to join our Seattle office IT team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates, revises, and executes project work plans
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
• Effectively applies project methodology and enforces project standards
• Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
• Minimizes exposure and risk on projects
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Manages project budget
• Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
• Holds regular status meetings with project team
• Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
• Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Possesses solid understanding in the technology areas
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change, manages the process of innovative change effectively
• Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices
• Manages day-to-day vendor/customer/stakeholder interaction
• Sets and manages customer/stakeholder expectations
• Communicates effectively with customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction
• Builds a knowledgebase of each customer's business, organization, and objectives
• Works with other project staff to create, revise, and execute project work plans


Specific Duties & Responsibilities, Percentage Of Time
50% Project management
15% Business analysis
10% Liaison to other department heads, users and stakeholders
10% Research and analysis
10% Problem resolution


QUALIFICATIONS:
• 7-10 years project management experience
• 3-5 years experience in the legal vertical preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management abilities
• Self-driven with an innate ability to prioritize tasks based on the needs of the business
• Agile enough to work in a fast paced environment
• Able to drive teams to meet established business and leadership goals
• PMP/Six Sigma/Agile/Scrum certified is a plus


EDUCATION:

• BS Degree in a related field is desirable but not required
