Job Description

Summary:

In collaboration with the Design Director and brand parameters, the Architect is responsible for the creation of architectural designs and construction documents on the development of luxury residential & commercial projects while partnering with the work of associate architects and designers on similar projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of architectural design experience with a proven ability to lead the project design from the programming/concept phase through the production of construction documents, permit acquisition, and site implementation on multi-discipline projects in an A/E environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience preparing construction documents in Revit.
  • Proficient in computer design programs (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and Microsoft office software.
  • Strong working knowledge of local, state, and national building codes.
  • Ability to be an independent thinker, deadline oriented, and able to juggle multiple design projects to meet timelines and goals.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing and growing workplace.
  • Residential experience preferred, but passion for this type of architecture required.
  • Ability to bring innovation and creativity to our home designs.
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills, with comfort presenting to groups. Additional languages a plus.
  • We are licensed in Las Vegas and California. Architects can expect up to 10% travel to project sites and collaboration with design professionals in other offices
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding clients and staff.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Understands and develops design intent based on client objectives and brand parameters. Participates in creative brainstorming sessions to define project design goals, objectives, and vision.

Create schematic and construction documents for residential projects based on plan requests given, and survey information provided. Prepare plan, section, elevation, and detailed architectural drawing sets for construction.

Work closely with our design director, design team, and engineers (if applicable), and field operations (as needed) to ensure a coordinated design.

When required by project scope, research material options or alternative building methods in an effort to deliver the optimal solution for the client.

Develop specifications and directs preparation of technical plans and related documents for permit acquisition and construction.

Answers RFI’s and reviews submittals and shop drawings throughout the pre-construction and construction phases of the project.

Partner with our procurement team to source appropriate vendors and trades for execution of projects.

Provide revisions to drawings as needed based on feedback.

Keep apprised of industry and design innovation trends and uses findings to improve relevancy and competitiveness of the brands.

Our office is located at 3451 West Martin Ave, Suite C, Las Vegas, NV 89118.  You will be involved in many meetings with senior and field management, clientele, vendors, and other office staff and will travel for projects, conventions, conferences, or to meet with vendors and clients as needed.
