JOB SUMMARY
The Network Administrator will ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network and implement and/or facilitate the initiatives of the Chief of Information Technology.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software and communication links
- Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs
- Develop, implement, and maintain the policies and procedures for network resource administration and disaster recovery
- Manage security solutions, including firewall, and intrusion detection systems
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services
- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team
- Implement other job duties as directed
- Work with contractors to install network drops
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science
- Certification in CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
- Certification in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
